In March 2017, staff and volunteer gardeners were featured on ABC’s Gardening Australia show during National Volunteer Week in May.
Gardening Australia’s Josh Byrne and his TV crew interviewed and filmed gardening customer Elaine, gardening volunteers Di and Paul, and gardening staff Rachel and Lee on the job.
“The shoot in my garden at was a real buzz and a day I will remember always! Gardening Australia is “must not miss” viewing for me each Saturday evening, so I am still pinching myself that my garden and I were chosen to be part of this fantastic show! There was a top crew from ABC Gardening Australia – Josh Byrne – just the best presenter and fabulous young man, David De Vos – producer, camera man Julian, and sound man Chris. They all were so friendly and fantastic to have in my garden and home. Of course, as always, I also had just the best gardening crew from Volunteer Task Force – Rachael, Lee, terrific volunteers Paul and Dianne who did a wonderful job working so hard on an extremely hot day. It was all done with great generosity, good humour and a smile on their faces at all times. Judith from VTF Communications also was a great helper on the day, assisting in keeping the troops well-watered and fed! Thanks so much to everyone!”
