Chorus and the Albany Senior Citizens Centre are pleased to be coming together as one in 2019.
Albany Senior Citizens Centre has been operating in Albany since 1972, providing a Meals on Wheels and dining kitchen service for the Albany community.
Chorus, under its previous merged entity Community First International, has supported the Albany community with employment, mental health and community care since 2006. All 20 Chorus Albany staff are all long-term members of the Albany community.
Chorus has taken over the lease of the Centre and staff and volunteers at the Centre are now part of the Chorus team. Albany Senior Citizens Centre Taryn Bristow will continue as Coordinator of the Centre.
“The amalgamation of the Senior Citizens Centre with Chorus is a fantastic opportunity for not just our organisation but for Albany as a whole,” Taryn said. “It ensures that the future of the Centre is secure and that the tireless work that has been put in by the hundreds of volunteers who have been involved over the last 54 years has culminated in a fantastic outcome for the town.”
